![]() If you're looking to take your video editing skills to the next level in 2023, you'll want to make sure you have the right tools at your disposal. DaVinci Resolve uses the Open FX plugin system, which means developers can create plugins using a standard that works across different software. Plugins are like extra tools that let you add features that aren't already part of the program, which can make it more efficient and improve the quality of your work. This means Resolve cannot use them at all.For a most of the time since it's release, DaVinci Resolve didn't have much compatibility for the popular plugins that AE users have access to, but with the upgrades since version 10, DaVinci now supports them. VST3 is needed because newer plug-ins are shipping as VST3/AAX/AU only. This is a low priority issue as Fairlight is not really a music production DAW, and is in fact fairly bad at it compared to even Pro Tools. However I absolute add a +1 to VST3 compatibility request For this reason it's totally impossible using Resolve as a real DAW. ![]() You set your midi inputs for your virtuals (a lot of them for orchestra projects) and when you reopen the project you see that Resolve random lost the midi settings. And if you keep going to close and open the project you end up to lose all of your midi settings hard work. I never see a kind of problem like this with a DAW. ![]() ![]() Infact it's impossible work with music virtual instrument also VST2, because closing the project you lose the input midi channel settings you set in the project. Pluggy wrote:Hi, the missing of the VST3 support isn't the only bad problem to work in Resolve as a composer and producer. ![]()
